Title says it all, just saw a real nice mid 60's Thunderbird on the Facebook Page and the color looks like my 2004. Did Ford bring it back?

I don't get to knit pick enough so here's my take. The '04 merlot paint has minute flakes in it to make it look more like a bubbly wine than maroon or burgandy. Of course, this depends on the lighting. Closer to dark outside, darker the merlot looks. But you can sure tell the difference in the sunlight. Metallic paints seem to have a bit larger flake pieces in them.

Somehow nit picking seems to follow car groups but soon you get used to it and eventually you do it. I often wondered if the 007 color was the same as on the '54 Ford. It didn't go over too well then.
