  • Thank You Spence and the TBN Store!

A quick shout out to Spence, Judy, Charlie and Margaret and any and all of those who handle the TBN store.

For you newbies, The TBN store carries some great items for Retro owners that aren't available elsewhere, and carry on the tradition of TBN.

Specifically, I recently bought a couple of the small metal Thunderbird emblems from the TBN store. These emblems are about 4 1/2" wide, featuring the T-Bird 'wings' design and rich turquoise accents. Unlike a lot of emblems you see these days, these emblems are made of nice sturdy metal with a shiny chrome-plated finish.

If you haven't checked out the TBN Store lately, have another look. Some really nice items to add to your Retro(s).

Nice to see people working together! I've bought from most suppliers including Spence. One of my favorites from the TBN store are the cup holder inserts that I'm on my second set. And Phil, with our aging group this timely product of yours maybe of interest here.I'm not quite ready ....

Greg, I don't understand the photo you posted. Doesn't look like cup holders. Is that a granny handle to help you get in and out of your T-Bird?

I can see a lot of door strikers getting pulled off with that!

I would not buy that item. Once that door striker is broken or bent the door will not latch and it will be very difficult to locate another except for maybe salvage.

I don't have an answer for what to use to assist getting up & out of the seat, but that product though I'm sure it works, over time it will cause damage to the door latching operation/

Personally, I am looking for an 19 year old Swedish nanny to assist me in and out of BURRRD.

I'd settle for a 29-year-old Norwegian nanny, and if I had one, I sure wouldn't waste any time trying to sell assist handles to get out of the T-Bird!

I guess I've never seen anyone use one. I had paralysis in my legs caused by Guillane Barre syndrome in 2009. I usually just open the door a little wide and put my cane on the ground to sort of balance as I lift myself up since the strength in my legs is a little limited.

Dad ( soon to be 90) has one that he's used for three years. no problem with the car and it sure works well.
Us young guys don't need one, but you old folks...........
