Birdbath is complete, now to drop the top and head to the beach.

I’ll have to see if I can fit that in Greg.

That's almost 26 miles per gallon! The only time I ever got that much out of a gallon of Gasoline was when I had 2 bad coils and had to accelerate slowly to 70 to keep up with Brian Metzger in his 2010 Ford SHO. It was "Ten Thunder" in Nashville. We stopped at the Corvette Museum and parked my '05 Evening Black Bird in front of the museum, until they made us move it!

Wow, that was Ten years ago, 2012.

Estimated Cal, other than the $$$. I don’t go over the speed limit, I am a quest in a foreign country and need to follow your laws.

I agree and in the U.S. each state is like a different country. They started out that way as colonies, then after 1789 the individual colonies became sovereign states and "believe me" the Governors and individual state legislatures don't yield any rights they can maintain. When I'm in New Jersey with a South Carolina license plate, it may as well be Quebec or Ontario. i follow their driving laws to the letter. I don't know if you ever drive in Virginia, but they have a law that if they see a radar detector in your car, they will seize it. Good Luck with saying I wasn't using it. Also, any speed above 80 mph is automatically "Reckless Driving" if the officer says so. Normally it has to be 15mph over the speed limit, but in a 70mph zone, 80 is only 10 over. It doesn't matter, 80 mph is R.D. and you can't pay that fine by mail, you have to go back to court or hire a lawyer. My daughter got caught that way and she had to hire a lawyer for an additional $300 plus the fine.

I do not know if it is true, but was told that if you are from out of state an speed, it is a 1,000.00 fine. Does not sound to friendly.Hope to see y'all in Georgia. Ervin Ritter

Check the arithmetic -- the time difference to travel 100 miles at 60mph and 80mph is 0.41 hr. or 25 minutes (rounding up).
Get pulled over for doing 80mph will take about 25-30 minutes to receive a ticket, then you'll be more inclined to travel slower anyway.
Along with decreased gas mileage, an expensive fine, a possible increase in car insurance.......mmmmm it isn't on my to-do list.
