Here's the whole story. I actually purchased it used (4000 miles) from a dealer here in CA on June 1, 2005. I was told that it was a Ford Exec car. The original registration was in Michigan, so that may be true. I have driven it another 1000 miles now, and have in no way been able to tell it from new. It is perfect in every way. Not even any scratches under the hardtop.
