    Re: TBN Registry

Harry: For your info., up here in Ontario (maybe all of Canada ), if you are selling a car you need to get a sellers package and that will list all previous owners by name back to, I believe, 1987 when the DOT went computerized . That also took care of typo errors for VIN's which you still find occasionally when a car comes out of long storage . (of course, it was never their error as they did not make mistakes.)
    Hope all is well,
    Martin.

2 and a half years Ron! Well of the four owners of Black Beauty, I've spoken to two of them. The Carfax does not give names, but the only issue on my car was a mileage inconsistency that was probably a typo error. BUT, I've owned the car the longest!

How long have you owned your car?

Four owners in 11 years is a lot compared to the average length of ownership in the US. Americans on average are holding onto new cars for 71.4 months and used cars for 49.9 months. This according to a study done in 2012.

            Re: TBN Registry

I don't want to start a new thread when this one is already here. I tried to find the registry to see if the car I saw yesterday was a TBN member. When I couldn't find it I did a search and tried the link in this thread. I got a message telling me I don't have access. Am I missing something? I recall registering my car when I first bought it, but can't seem to see the link anywhere on the home page or my control panel to access it. I'm posting this in case it's something I just don't know. If I don't get any responses I'll send a message to Admin. Thanks!

The registry went away. A casualty of the last attempt to upgrade the software for the site.

For some reason, I am not allowed access to register my car. Any idea why or what I have to do?

                        Re: TBN Registry

You can't register because the registry doesn't exist. See posts 20 and 21 above.

Lost track, is the software completely updated or do we have a future tweak.

The site hasn't been updated yet. Still waiting for our guy ( who does this on his own dime) to have the time to do it. It's very involved.
