Came across a bit of information that doesn’t look like it’s been posted to TBN already, so thought I would share: If anyone is interested in when their Tbird (or any Ford) was built and how it was equipped from the factory but doesn’t need the build sheet detail or window sticker, go to www.etis.ford.com > Vehicle > Vehicle Lookup (or click the direct link below) and input your VIN. Oddly, this appears to be Ford’s european technical information and services website, but tried it and my results at least seemed accurate.

Interesting - I noticed mine shows "Job No.1 To Mid Year Program Ctl" where Sierra's says "Mid Year Change Program Control". Both are '04s but mine was built more than 7 months earlier. Anyone know what this means?

Dave, does this indicate your IG car is a "California car" with 50 state emissions?

ETA also notice the June 25, 2005 build date makes your IG one of the very last Thunderbirds built. IIRC last Thunderbird was built six days later on July 1, 2005.

Newman, did you buy your car new? The factory build sheet specifies that your car DOES have the wooden shift knob and steering wheel.

My '05 is the basic "Deluxe", not "Premium. Instead of the wood shift knob/steering wheels, it states "leather gear shift knob and" and "leather steering wheel" (!).

Ted, Their probably both wood wrapped with leather. I can't see Ford stocking two different wheels and knobs for the same car.

Whether you got wood or leather wrapped depended on the interior option. Standard/deluxe interiors got leather, color accent options came with painted wood.

Tbear's car was built on a Saturday. Thunderbird production ended the following Friday. Wonder how many were built that last week?
