This one (Number 853) above has original miles of 1680 miles and asking 35k so it's in the ballpark. Can't see having the car for over 18 years and it not being driven, basically wishing it a long term Invesment. It didn't pan out.

Yeah, the stock market, just using an S&P 500 index fund would have doubled several times in the last 18 years. In 2004 many people who loaded up on Dot-coms were still licking their wounds.

I googled it, $100 invested at the beginning of 2004 with dividends reinvested would be $483. today. That is an 8.9% compound annual rate of return. Or $100. doubled twice plus $83.

One of the 1000 PCRs sold in Harrisburg at the Mecum Auction this weekend. It sold for $30,250 including the buyer's commission. It had 14,700 miles on the odo.
