OK, I haven't been to this thread for a while, but thanks, all, for your comments about my 'tote-bag' idea that will have the 'new-car smell.'

I can have my upholstery guy whip a sample up pretty quick, and don't worry, I already have the matching colors for 'Saddle', 'Light Sand,' 'Light Ash' (PCR) and the 007 James Bond Edition 'White.' The T-Bird logo/emblem could be embossed, embroidered or a metal applique. Which do you think would be best?

Hoi Ed,
Yes it's a daily user for me. So mileage will raise quickly (about 15.000 a year). I used to have an Audi TT Quattro before this. Also a nice car, but this has more charm.
The reason why it is so low on mileage is because I recently bought it from a Dutch Ford dealer. He had it imported late 2004. It was new then (Probably been at the lot in Canada for some while) and in his lot since then.

.....just returned from a 2600 km. trip.......The 'Bird now shows a total of 42500km....I can't imagine driving anything else!.........

29,400 around Town - Lincoln MKVIII or Expedition used for long trips.

Nancy took delivery of her thunderbird Blue in 2002 and has driven it to work every day. To date, original cops and 109,000 miles.

My dealership held the title and registration papers for three weeks, then express mailed all of the paperwork to me so that I could drive up to the county seat and buy the tags myself. (They could've just let me take it with me the day I wrote the check, but then they couldn't justify the $399 processing fee they charged me.)

ANYWAY, the original title was enclosed.

Original Purchase Date: 09/03/02 -- 40 miles
Sale date (to dealer): 07/20/12 -- 41,420 miles
Sale date (to me): 09/26/12 -- 41,458 miles

So, it's averaged 350 miles per month, and that's about the same rate I've driven it in the past three weeks.
