Don't see many around here, but when I do, I wave... at all 'birds. Got a nice thumbs-up from an older gentleman driving a classic red t-bird, sans top, about a week ago; returned the thumb, of course. A big wave and a smile from a couple driving a new black bird near my neighborhood the same day. We were driving opposite directions, so by the time I turned around to stalk them, they were gone. Must improve my stalking skills! Pulled up at a stop light yesterday, next to a kid driving a Thunderbird LX (~1990). Gave him a wave when he looked, but he just looked at us like we were crazy!
We get often get a thumbs-up or a wave from pedestrians too... always returned with a smile.

YOU BET...wave, grin, thumbs up, stalk, chase...pretty embarrasing to my co-pilots initially, but most have succumbed to my obsession, and join right in!
I waved once, left hand thrust upward and outward with the right hand in a death grip mode on the old steering apparatus. I was promptly struck by a red headed woodpecker. Knocked him senseless and bored a hole in my left mitt. He must have mistaken the PCR for some sort of low lying tree. Naw...this did not really happen. I wave to any two seat Bird, any four seater who waves and other people who care to wave while on weekend furloughs.
I wave to all tbirds, and all classics what ever the are. I just seems the natural thing to do. Some wave back, some don't. There loss!
Well, excuuuuusseeee me! I think Chesapeake qualifies as Tidewater...where the heck are you??? And why don't you wave?? I've been down to Greenbrier 3 times this week!

I must have just missed you. I was on the parkway today about 10:30 am and saw a torch red beauty. I gave them a big wave, they looked at me like I was from Mars. That's how it goes some times. Better luck next time.

On Rte 128 I saw a MSG w/ brown interior in my rearview mirror so I slowed down till he caught up with me and then rode along side him. For 5 minutes he talked on his cellphone and only looked straight ahead while I rode right next to him. I finally took off and let him eat my dust.
Near my home today spotted a red 05 with sand interior at a 4 way stop. She gave me the confused--do I know you?--and if I don't why are you waving at me?--look.
Some people just don't know, or don't appreciate, what they've got.
