Re: do you do the wave?

Yes, always wave... but I only see another Tbird about once every month. Have never had any of those people wave back. Oh, well.

Anyway, when you pass a tbird and you are in yours, do you wave? I don't see too many of them around so when i pass one i just get the urge because i feel like we're part of an elite group : )

      Your thoughts please.

I pulled up to an intersection today and there were two other TBirds there, An 02 Thunderbird Blue and an 04 Merlot, with my 05 Black that made three. I usually go three days without seeing another Thunderbird. I don't think I'll ever see three (including mine) at one intersection again. We ALL WAVED!!!

There's not a lot of Birds here in North Jersey, (Bergen and Hudson Counties) but when we do spot one, I haven't seen anybody doing any waving.

I have seen many T Birds in Florida. It seems like they are every day driving cars. I have seen them in the rain, and in shopping mall parking lots!!!!
I havent waved cause I am not in my Bird........

Re: do you do the wave?

If people are watching, you don't have to do the wave, because owners of such a rare car are bound to notice each other, admiringly.

I've done the honk before, when passing Thunderbirds were unaware, but not the wave.........
It's hard to soar with T-Birds when you drive amongst turkeys!

Re: do you do the wave?

I have also exchanged waves with drivers of other top down convertibles; Mercedes, Miatas, BMWs and Porches. Clearly, the convertible, top down, attitude is not limited to Thunderbirds. I passed a Mercedes top down convertible a few months ago an thought he was going to wreck by his (and his passenger's) over the windshield wave, flashing lights an big grins!

The Corvette owners just look right thru me as if I were non existant; must be the "envy thing". Whenever I see a "vette" in a parking lot, I put a TBN card on the windshield.

Thanks for the heads-up...from now on I will leave a TBN card on all those 'vettes I see. That'll show 'em!

I've not waved but have received and given a few head nods and big grins. Recently I saw three in one day, that was a treat.

Re: do you do the wave?

If I see one I will wave! I have only had mine for 24 hours and 200 miles. T-Birds are a rare sighting around here so a wave seems appropriate.

[B]Having owned a couple classic cars in the past, it becomes the normal thing to do--you wave and give thumbs up to all classic car drivers. They always respond. I've only owned my Bird two months, and have only seen two others, but gave them the wave and received same in return. I believe T-Bird owners are a very elite group and should all wave at every opportunity.

Ralph I always give the wave to all the Birds as well as to those who drive those beautiful classics.

                                Elle,

I'm in "HAM" country, in Smithfield, Va. There's a Silver Bird over my way that wouldn't "Wave" if his life was at stake... But you know what "I still Wave" ...
