My parents taught me that as an adult, you handle things differently than you did as a child. You use tact and feeling before you speak and learn to control your fear and hatred. You learn how to forgive and forget or it will eat you alive. If you don't like the heat in the kitchen, you move to the family room or the back porch. If you don't like what goes on in a bar, and you like to drink, you do it at home. If you don't want to discuss something, don't get in the conversation.
