Well after the blizzard of 06 has hit the northeast with record snow fall & our latetest cold snap here in FLorida & some warm weather coming the thought comes to taking off the hard top for the first time. Let me know what your preferences are by voting in the poll.

    Re: TOP ON TOP OFF

Not nice to "feed the trolls" Next three days here are supposed to be high 60s with a chance of it getting up to 70 on Fri. Sounds like topless weather to me. Now if I can just convince the wife.

And as far as the poll, well we can't vote because we have not had the Hard Top on the car since we brought the car home.

Weather has been fantastic this last week in the SF Bay area. Thought a little about converting back to the soft top. However, a cold snap with rain (and possibly snow on the taller mountains) is in the forecast. So I am glad I didn't.

I guess it is for the ski crowd who will be going to the Sierra for the President's week skiing.

Hard top stays on until April at least. Then I'll use the hoist to take it off the Bird. I'm really getting tired of the winter weather.

I can't vote because one Bird has the top on all the time and the other the top off all the time.

Winter has been mild here in ATL area. Went topless all winter. Maybe two weeks where I didn't have the top down at least once a week. When it was particularly nasty we drove my wife's car and the 'Bird remained snug in the garage.

              Re: TOP ON TOP OFF

Hardtop has been on since Christmas. Will come off soon with the help of a neighbor or friend. Temp. is around 65 here in the old Tarheel State today, so it's about time to remove the hardtop.

                Top off?

Does the hardtop actually come off?

Got to read the owner's manual more closely.

                  Re: TOP ON TOP OFF

We've had the top on since late fall. We'll probably take it off about mid-April. I love the convertible, but the car looks equally good (I think) with the portholes.... so it's fine either way.

I think you need a 5th voting option: Say heck with it & leave it OFF. I removed the hardtop from my Bird shortly after I bought it and have never put it back on. Too much trouble, and the soft top works just as well if I really need a roof. I mainly bought it for top-down driving, I only drive it in beautiful weather... AND I live in Southern California. :)

Same here..............2 days after I bought the car, the top came off and was never on since. Living in San Antonio, hardtop not required! However, I miss the look with the hardtop on...

Car looks awsome with top on, only leaks like a waterfall.

My top is on for now. I usually take it off in April and leave it off until mid to late November.

Top is on for now. Several, several days were nice enough to have it off. I think I would have left the top off all winter, if I hadn't been selling the house. Depending on when the house sells and the new one is ready, I may have the car top ON for an extended period of time. My top is another situation totally.
