While the Eagles are my favorite group, "Fun, Fun, Fun" and "I Get Around" by the Beach Boys gets played the most when the top is down.

Joe, when I voted on my own thread I had the hardest time between "The Motown Song", and "Dancing In The Streets".
ANYTHING by Motown is a WINNER in my book!

My ancestry gets mixed up in this I am sure.
I am scotch-Irish.
That is not somebody who has some ancestors from Scotland and some from Ireland.
They are a people. Look it up.
They settled in the Appalachians.
And they brought their music and their banjos with them.
They invented what we call "country" Music. It evolved from their folk music.

So, I like all kinds of music (No rap/metal) but country music is in my bones.

On my Ipod is.....Alan Jackson (Among the newer singers) and he has got a couple of great summer songs.
Chattahoochee and It's 5 O'clock Somewhere!

Listening to an NPR broadcast last week, and they were talking about 'Dancin' in the Streets' by Martha Reeves and the Vandellas...it became a breakout song for Motown (Detroit), but it became better known as a battle song for the riots of those who felt disenfranchised.
