  • T-bird owner demographics

It seems like all types of people own t-birds, but I'm curious what the statistics are in relation to age and sex of the average owner. So I figured a poll is an order.

I'm a 24 year old male, and I thoroughly enjoy my '04 triple black bird. Sometimes I feel like a '69 Chevelle or GTO might suit me better though.

    Re: T-bird owner demographics

46 here and was intending to get a Corvette but just didn't like the "look" of them anymore (disclaimer, the 2007 Vettes look much better to me than the past couple of years).
Anyway, the Tbird is just different. I like the two tops, which makes two different cars as far as looks go.
One of the much younger guys here at work, who drives a Mustang, told me the Tbird fit me, he said it was "old school."
This poll should turn out interesting as time goes on.

When a 20-something young lady looks at my car in the parking lot and tells an ol' fart like me, "Your car is sexy", age goes out the door.

ROFL Jim, you got it right! I don't think age makes a bit of difference, the compliments from every age group just keep coming. The car either appeals to you or does not, rarely a day goes by when my LadyBird is out on the road, that someone doesn't toss out a compliment. For those of us lucky enough to own one, our smiles just keep getting bigger and bigger.

with only 68,000 and some made, and the number dropping as the days go by, you will have a rare car that looks great,

Yes, wasn't that sweet of Stuff to not embarass many of us here. What's telling about the age stats though is that the TBN age demographics have moved up in age over the past 4 years. guess we can't stay young forever even when we feel it.

This has been done before but I think that 46+ is going to go through the roof on this one.

Is the next category, children that now own their parents t-birds?!

Bruce, Ole Guys is not necessarily a bad thing: older, wiser, and no worries of them being seen wearing their pants down around their thighs with their behinds hanging out of the back or a doo rag on their head.

Black socks with plaid shorts though is another matter ...

Hang in there, Joe... First it's AARP, then Medicare and finally "Don't care".
