3rd owner of a 2004. Traded my Cadillac for it. Didn't want or need a big boat.
Got the Tbird, 48Mo ESP (no discount allowed in FL) and $2000 for the caddy.
Of course the dealer wins, or he wouldn't be a dealer very long....
But as I drive this car, the gap is narrowing....this is a VERY nice car.

Bought new 2/2002. Local dealers in NJ wanted 5 k oer sticker, so I went on the internet and found a dealer in Wyoming that had no customers for a thunderbird blue/black interior deluxe, and sold it to me for list price. He arranged through Ford to have it shipped to my local dealer for about 1k. I was thrilled then, as I am still thrilled with it now. Only 22k miles and it is my daily driver for my second home outside of Wilmington, NC. I added the chrome bezel, emblemed carpets, and at the 1st gathering in Destin, GoBird gave me matching paint and I painted the emblems on the wheels matching color, and has always looked cool. I added Borla exhaust, and that is the way she sits today.

We bought our 02 Torch Red from a local dealer in June of 04. The car had less than 10,000 KM and was still in the dealership's name. I was told that it was a demo that "he and his wife used as their's". So, I don't know if you would consider our's bought new two years old, or used. Either way we now have over 40,000 KM and enjoy it immensely. We can't wait to get out to our next TBN event (when the snow leaves us) as it was so much fun meeting everyone.

If you are the first owner on the title after the dealer, you ARE the first owner...regardless of the time it was at the dealer! Congrats!

In 2003, I looked at the new Tbirds on the Ford website. I showed them to my wife and said "You would look good in one of those!" She said yes but we were struggling in Houston after leaving Florida for work (and other things) and could not swing the price at the time. This was really bad, because I had talked her into trading her Sebring convertible for a Chevy Malibu and she was still mad at me.

In 2005, after years of her calling me when a convertible of ANY kind was on sale somewhere, I started looking at the Tbirds again. By chance, I found one listed on eBay at a Ford Dealer in Ft. Worth. I traded her Malibu over the phone for a 2003 Mountain Shadow Grey with 27,000 miles on it.

We drove up that Friday and drove it back to Houston.

I've been in her good graces ever since!

second owner of an 05 cashmere 1950 miles in feb. 10 elderly couple sold back to original dealer in mich. saw on auto trader bought a few days later now has 3900 miles bought my second 05 blue with blue accents a month ago with 10800 miles i am the second owner the owner won the car in a raffle six years ago and donated it back to his rabbi to sell and raise money for there school i was able to talk with both previous owners always admired these cars and promised myself i would get one bought extended warrantys for both had a lift installed in my garage now i can look at them all wrapped up in the winter and cannot wait to drive them in 3-4 months

Bought my '04 from the original owner.
This was the 2nd '04 that the sellers had. The first '04 was totaled in an accident late in '05. Their Insurance Co. wouldn't buy them a new '05 but would buy them another '04. They located a new '04 that was still in a Dealers inventory. It was built in January 2004 and not sold until they bought it July 2006. I bought it September 1, 2010

Gee, I'd love to vote in the poll, but I'm the fourth owner of my Whisper White 2003. And it only has 34,000 miles on it!

Second owner of '04 PCR #149.One year ago. Had 48K and now has 54K. Wife drives evry day and we both love it COP's and all.

I got mine last October, had it shipped out from OK because dealers and owners in Cali seem to think they should be able to demand way over blue book. Carfax said 2nd owner, we won't include the fact it changed hands 3 times from the trade in at the Ford dealership to the car lot that sold it to me.

I have a photo of me standing in front of a red bird inside a casino in Vegas. I remember telling my friends I would own one eventually, even if I had to wait awhile. I think that was in 02.

Bought '02 in October 2010 - traded two birds in for one! Just drove it to Virginia and back with lots of stops between. Wonderful trip!!! Wonderful car - my seventh!

Just bought our 2002 two weeks ago. My wife has been lusting after a T-bird for the last two years, and I decided that for her 60th, the lusting would end.

I knew nothing about T-birds, until I started doing research on them. We figured out that Cathy likes the '02 best, so that's what we set our scope on. This was an Ebay purchase, and the car was everything it was advertised as.

Ours was a one-owner, but went thru 4 dealers prior to us buying it. We flew to Boston to pick it up, and drove 1600 miles back home, hitting Triple-D locations on the way back. The only thing it needed once we got it home was new front brakes.

I do miss our Toyota convertible, but have to admit this is way more fun to drive. And we sure got to meet more people as a result of having it. Everywhere we stopped, someone came up and talked to us about our car.

Looking forward to lots more fun driving her 'bird, as we still have lots of Triple-D's we need to try out.
