Re: Mod vs. No Mod poll
If you do a careful install/integration and stay away from the units with all the bling and flashy stuff, the switch to after market isn't too jarring. This one has Sirius, Bluetooth, and iPod with a remote puging in the glove box.

Susan,
I love the wheels. Who are they made by? I never heard of Panther. Also, are they 17"?
As far as the interior,I think I would get Polo for myself, lol.

You can see a little of my Louis Vuitton interior...It's also covering the glove box.
I also have Panther Wheels with Falken tires.

Re: Mod vs. No Mod poll
My ears constantly screech due to noise induced tinnitus, 24/7.
The good news, you become accustomed to the constant screech.
The bad news, once you get it, it's too late.

Re: Mod vs. No Mod poll
I am tempted to get a whole new system but hate to give up originality. I still have a big 560 SEL and I put a Nocamichi in iy and love it The old Becker was a piece of junkOriginally posted by Southern View PostI ended up going with a PIE FRD03-POD/S(5v)
You can get it at www.ipodcarpros.com/
It is the least beneficial of all the adapters that I have used.
I used one in my 2003 Murano.
I used one in my 2008 Cadillac.
I used one in my 2008 Mercedes.
They all allowed some form of next/last song from the steering wheel.
This one doesn't and it is not even a single button from the radio face to skip songs.
BUT. I will not send it back.
It plays with Best Quality, recharges the iPod that I have laying in the glove compartment, and I can adjust volume from the steering wheel.
This is the only one that I think works.
I am not thrilled, but I am happy.
I can play my Beach Boys while the fuzzy dice are swinging in the breeze, and all is right with the world.

I've modified nothing. I love it the way it was made. I have considered changing the factory stereo for an all inclusive GPS, Satellite Radio, DVD Player, etc.

Re: Mod vs. No Mod poll
Hey Souther, I remember you talking about an ipod hook up but I missed what you ended up doing I need one tooOriginally posted by Southern View PostThink I'm almost done. Maybe.
Did the taillights with plastic chrome. Chrome hood scoop. Installed an iPod adapter into the sound system. Replaced rear mufflers with straight pipes. Installed K&N CAI.
Installed the TC Plexiglass Wind Deflector.
Uninstalled the Wind Deflector.
Too many annoying reflections.
Now if LovetheDrive ever gets a workable bracket to hold their windscreen.......I will install that.

(has a stock FoMoCo part #) They made them an option on other
birds 2003-05 to make more money...
