Re: Do You Plan to Purchase a 50th Anniversary Bird?

I would like one but common since keeps telling me that I should buy something practical. I'll be reaching retirement in 3 years and I need a people hauler. My 02 is not going anywhere but I think I see a Ford 500 in my future.

Yeah, Spence, that's too practical. Owning a Tbird and a 500 on purpose is like having a split personality!!!

God, I went to the dealership yesterday for some service on the escape. Looked at the 05, sat in the 05, almost for a fleeting moment was thinking of a trade in. Then reality set in that with my trade that anniversary plate would have cost about 6,000 dollars. Besides, too many great memories in the 02 not to mention that I got her just the way I want her! I'll keep mine

I am going to wait and see how prices are in August-September 2005. They seem to have come down every year around that time.

Well, my Dealer got in their 05 Steal Blue. Very Dark, and Greyish. He got it with the Sand Package. Not as impressive as I was hoping. Try to get a couple of photo's of it tomorrow, after my Mustang Show down in St Pete, unless Joe gets them posted first.

Nice pictures Dave. The blue still doesn't do a whole lot for me but I do like the Merlot in the last picture.

Hey, Bruce, go back and look again. Just resized them so they will enlarge when you click on them. Sorry 'bout that.

Dave I like all Thunderbirds so I may just not be a blue kind of guy. IMHO

Dave, thanks for posting the pics. I saw a medium steel blue in my rear view mirror a few days ago and it was pretty far back and I couldn't get a good look. I'd rank this blue behind the Thunderbird Vintage Blue and Light Ice Blue, and slightly ahead of the Desert Sky Blue. Sure gives potential owners some choices if a blue-colored Bird trips their trigger.

Looks good, great photos. First I have seen of the 50th Anniversary emblem. I wonder if you are looking to "steal" this "steel" blue one. Your Merlot with the light sand interior looks super.
