Re: Your Favorite Retro Blue Bird

My. my. my! Thirty-one posts & counting just on the color blue. It seems we now know which Retro color generates the most excitement, which produces the most leering envy, creates the most positive discussion & appreciative comments, brings tears to the eyes of those who missed out on blue, etc. etc. etc. Even the color blind. limited tho they are by their physical disabilities, couldn't resist a few off-the-mark comments (No, black & merlot are not blue; in fact, black is the absence of color. But let's not be too harsh on these people, for there are probably others among us (yes, me) whose color perceptivity is less than perfect). Beer drinkers? Their comments & photos, tho entertaining, are not exactly relevant, but then beer drinkers (yes, me) are an accepting & open-minded lot, both within TBN & elsewhere.
Gauges, needles & Tbird emblem wings? Good point, Steve. Obviously, the color team at Wixom chose their best & favorite color for these applications as well as for the paint booth. When they had used up all the blue, they had to look in the back room for more paint & found buckets left over from earlier paint jobs on fire engines, hearses & taxicabs, so they said, "What the hell, let's use up this stuff!" with the resulting paint jobs in black & merlot & other hard-to-identify colors. At least, that's the way I think it happened -- & lest anyone, beer-drinkers or otherwise, believe I'm actually serious with all this crap, let me add a big fat LOL. -----Will
