Todd, we all have different needs so if it works and your other half enjoys the onvertible more because her hair is not blowing around maddly then its worth the price and its worth the peace it brings. Justification is not warranted, its your money and your bird and truly your decision.

I understand. If it solves a wife problem Todd, then I would agree it's probably worth it for you.

Usually, if I want to have the top down but reduce the wind (such as on the freeway) I usually just roll the windows up which makes it more comfortable.

B & B and Bruce FYI I did vote that it was not worth the $200. I posted what I did to say that yes the product works. Not worth the selling price, but it works. As we can see like usual many of us have such varying opinions. I did not take offense by any post. I wanted to let Tbirdy know that this product works. I still question how ever if the mesh ones do. At 80 mph with mine there was only minimal turbulence.

To any one interested in a product like this, it is easily made in a couple hours. If any one is interested I can post close up pictures to show the design, and pieces. A quick stop to Home Depot or the like and a fabric store spending $50 will get you one of these. I am NOT bashing TBC but this particular product is a home tinkerers Sunday afternoon walk in the park!

Thanks for all the opinions. The overwhelming "not really worth the price" vs. "absolutely" poll convinces me not to purchase one, especially because I can wear a hat. I have Plexiglas material (many sizes) here at work, maybe I'll experiment and put one together one day. Naaaaa, I'm too lazy, I'll go with the messy hair as it's right in style these days!

My hair (what I still have) is all over the place and Bobbi's just gets messed up a little, go figure. I can wear a b/b cap if needed.........I rather get a wood grain dash kit.....A guy can't have enough b/b hats.....

WOW, temp was 85 here (Monday) yesterday. Top down all day, hair messed up..... soooo cool. No doubt wherever I show up, that I must drive a convertable! Loved the feeling and no windbreaker for me!
Jake the BirdDawg even came for a ride with me and loved it, except for that quick jaunt through a tunnel....he didn't like that much. You think we gets looks with our Birds? Have a mini collie in the front seat with you, top down and see the great looks and conversation!

FYI...FORD Tbird design folks shudder when they hear about people using windblockers with the tbird. The Tbird windshield was specifically designed to reduce wind to the cabin.

Todd, I guess questions like this come down to a point of reference, as in compared to what. Any convertible compared to a hardtop will clearly be more windy...more sunny too. My only point of reference is my last convertible which was a Mercedes SL with a windblocker, and IMHO the Tbird without a windblocker both @ school zone speeds and at speeds in excess of 100 MPH generates much less cabin wind. If the wind is a problem, raise the windows, the top, or just leave the HT on all the time and put in a sunroof.

I bought the convertable, not my wife. It kind of just showed up one day on a truck outside my house....

Glad to hear you didn't buy your wife; but, who just showed up on a truck, outside your house? Your car or your wife?
