Re: Super Bowl - Pick Your Winner

Clearly, the Patriots were the better team. You could tell they had been there before.

The game raised a couple of questions about the Eagles though...
    1) Do they even have a hurry-up offense? What transpired on their last touchdown drive was inexcusable. No sense of urgency. It was almost like THEY were running out the clock. One would think most teams would have gone no-huddle given the situation. Tired? C'mon, it's the biggest game of their lives. I told the people I was watching the game with that if I were an Eagles fan, I woulda been highly pi55ed off at their coaching staff.
    2) The Eagles running game was almost non-existent. Why did they keep running wide left when the Patriots kept stuffing that play for a loss? Did they ever run to their right side? The Patriots kept crowding the line of scrimmage, where was the crossing routes? Why not roll out McNabb away from the pressure?

You gotta hand it to Bellcheck and staff, they got their team more prepared than their opponent AGAIN. One wonders how well they'll do next year losing both coordinators. Well, as the NFL Total Access commercial says, the sun will come out tomorrow...all 32 teams are undefeated and they all get to try and climb the monuntain again later this year.

The Patriots implemented a completely new defense for the game.....and they did it in one week. Clearly, the Eagles were outcoached.

I still think the best part of the game was Paul McCartney.

In six months, we can make another bet!

Oh yea, Ray thanks for reminding me, I almost forgot my manners. The best part of the Superbowl for me was all the Eats. Ham in the morning and afternoon and grilled steak and stuffed filet of sole in the evening with potatoes Au Gratin all with Sam Adams Beer and good bottles of red wine from Australia. Thanks guys you made it a terrific day and one that I will remember for a long time.

Bruce, thanks for the culinary update. I was wondering if you were going to fill us in.

Hopefully this dynasty crap will come to an end next year. I was soooo looking forward to a New England lobster!

Me too, I'm tired of Bellcheck this, Bradycakes that, team this, replaceable parts that. I hope they're 7-9 next year without their coordinators, we need new blood in the playoffs/Super Bowl.

It's easy to be a Monday Morning QB. Have you ever run with the bulls? try it sometime and you'll know the feeling of having 6 or7 huge animals trying to get to you as soon as you say "Hike" I enjoyed Paul but the columnists are already panning the half time performance. The same people who were offended by the costume malfunction, are now saying the show was too puritanical. Well, I liked it. The music was something I could appreciate for a change. However, several of those performances before the game left something to be desired. Different strokes for...... I guess. All in all a good Sunday of entertainment and I wasn't shoveling snow !!!

                  Gentlemen, take it easy!
For them to threepeat would take everything falling together and aligning themselves just right. I believe the PATS will do well but win 4 out of the last 5 Superbowls and three in a row is asking alot from any team. Now next year you don't have to take the same teams. Could be that next year is the year of the Dophins, Raiders, Browns, Bengals or .............. Choose carefully and wisely. See you next Fall.

The extremely best part for me, was FORD's first comercial. It lost it's effect on the three repeats. Talk about dedicating a show to one of our own. YES, ONE OF OUR OWN. Dear BRUCIE!!!! There he was, right after taking delivery of HIS Red Convertible, in the Snow, freezing his touce off, and LOVING every second of it. As soon as I saw that first comercial, I just knew this day was dedicated to the most dedicated Pat's Fan I know.

Yes, it's easy to be Monday morning QB. So Bob, what were you thinking when the Eaglets were behind by 10 pts. mid-4th quarter and they were just moseying on down the field like they had all day to score? I was going nuts and I'm not an Eagles fan, I just wanted to see an exciting finish and that drive pretty much kept that from happening.

Hey Ray, Day ONE of ownership is ALWAYS exempt from the normal precautions we all adhere to. You know, puddles, sand on the side of the road, low flying sea gulls, and any other inclement items Mother Nature has to throw at us. :-)
