Re: Super Bowl - Pick Your Winner
Clearly, the Patriots were the better team. You could tell they had been there before.
The game raised a couple of questions about the Eagles though...
1) Do they even have a hurry-up offense? What transpired on their last touchdown drive was inexcusable. No sense of urgency. It was almost like THEY were running out the clock. One would think most teams would have gone no-huddle given the situation. Tired? C'mon, it's the biggest game of their lives. I told the people I was watching the game with that if I were an Eagles fan, I woulda been highly pi55ed off at their coaching staff.
2) The Eagles running game was almost non-existent. Why did they keep running wide left when the Patriots kept stuffing that play for a loss? Did they ever run to their right side? The Patriots kept crowding the line of scrimmage, where was the crossing routes? Why not roll out McNabb away from the pressure?
You gotta hand it to Bellcheck and staff, they got their team more prepared than their opponent AGAIN. One wonders how well they'll do next year losing both coordinators. Well, as the NFL Total Access commercial says, the sun will come out tomorrow...all 32 teams are undefeated and they all get to try and climb the monuntain again later this year.
