Jim I think you will find that 9324 was the last Inca Gold down the assembly line, but not the last one ordered. 9330 was the last one ordered, that is the one I have. Both built the last day of production.

Two chances in 82. (Don't try to fool me; I've been to college.)

        Thanks, Jim.

        btw
Well, that last one was ordered by Earl Tindol (of Earl Tindol Ford) and part of his collection until it was sold. He was a member of this site at one time. Don't remember his handle. He did make it to a few TBN related events on the east coast including Thunder Fever in 2005. He didn't bring the Inca though at that time as his Inca had not been built yet. TBN members have made a couple of visits to his semi-private collection where the supercharged test Thunderbird rests.

Wow...excellent historic info, Dot. Thanks! VIN ...9324 is the WH/IG, partial white interior with 7800 miles on odometer.

At $23,995 or a lot less it doesn't fit into my budget.

Yeah, it would be a leap for us, too...I need to stop thinking about this!!

I'd rather buy a DSB one owner with under 30,000 miles for $12,000....just saying..

You're just a charmer who is also very lucky Greg. My wife would agree with you, she loves the VMG and the DSB. I just got so tormented by Bill Green and Paul Thomas for so many years, I had to get a TR to quiet them down. :-D Now, back to the Inca Golds, I've heard they are really the fastest of all the colors!

Greg is living proof of the old adage - it's better to be lucky than good.

We have noticed that Barb comes to events with you now, so the red must have done a little something for her.

Deals like that, Greg, are hard to pass up - HOWEVER, the IG deals on this thread are NOT identical to yours, not to mention the rarity of these colors. Moving on...
I am in conversation with the dealer, but not sure this will pan out to anything. Only interested in the VIN...9324.
Perhaps - but more than likely maybe not.

Greenwood, SC is my home town, but I moved away in 1962. I still have family there and will probably visit there later this year. I also still have a couple of friends there, one of which is a pretty knowledgeable car guy, just not a T'bird guy. If someone is truly close to making a deal on one of these cars I would ask my friend if he would view the car and check it out - I think he would do it if he is in town.
