Quickdraw Love your playful humor... 4LOWBIRDS+8 I don't know... with that list I think you have it covered. I will be happy when I get one at least. It has been a long time since I had a pretty bird in my garage.

007Cruiser I think would pay to see you cruise in your bird top town with those goggles. Add a flowing scarf just for kicks

Nope, Harry. Just remembered a cool album cover from one of my favorite guitar players. Seemed to fit!

No more OEM windshields seems like a prime opportunity for a replica retro zBird decal, cling or something similiar. ButcI am with Paul. As long as it is the same quality, it is installed properly, etc., I would be happy. Of course, when these cars become eligible for 300 point concours judging, things may be different. But that will likely be an issue for my grandchildren. Or great grandchildren.

I would have to agree. Got a stone chip on our way down here on the MKS. Two weeks ago a small stone hit the edge of windshield on TBird and immediately cracked about 8 inches. Now it has spread about 15 inches in my line of vision. I also agree about taking it to a reputable installer. Three years ago had one replaced on the white Tbird here in Arizona (at our house) and they were having a difficult time. They kept talking to each other (I'm guessing on what do we do now) but I don't speak Spanish so was nervous the whole time.

Last June my Ford dealer ordered two windshields for the Inca Gold and the Cashmere. Both came with the bird logo, the difference is the PPG logo is now PGW. So this is the Ford replacement. This is the same windshield I had installed in the Dusk Rose three years ago.

We're on our 3rd windshield in our Inca. Got cracks in the first two while on Idaho roads. The 3rd one, installed this past fall by Safelite (came to our house) has no thunderbird on it as I didn't care at that point. Didn't realize, Ron, that there was a thunderbird emblem windshield still available. Does it have the same style thunderbird on it?

The 02 still is on it's original windshield at almost 200,000 miles.

Everything looks the same but the PPG/PGW.

I bought my TBird and not 30 min into the drive home got a nice size rock to the windshield. A star crack quickly developed and I immediately drove to a repair place. Found out my windshield was not original (surprise)! I had lamented to the gentlemen that there were no OEM windshields left and he said not to worry. After market windshields were available and they work just as well. He was able to fix the windshield with a guarantee and sent me on my way. Not sure how much stock you can put into his statement but at least there are replacements out there if needed... I just won't tell Ruby if I have to cross that bridge someday...SHHH!

I just replaced the windshield in my 02. If I wanted the Tbird logo it would be about $200.00 more. No problem getting one with the logo. I chose the less expensive route. It was about 300.00 installed.

got me wondering, since I have only owned my car a year so I checked the windshield and although it does have a thunderbird logo on it it says "carlite" where the pwg was
                                figured I needed something here
