Thanks - that's the same way I feel, Paul. I have so many things I want to do for her that I can now put this one on behind me!
(already getting tons of comments from folks about her and its color - told Susie I forgot how much attention that color draws)

Thanks, Phil...I learned something new by doing this - plus the paint mixed for me by the independent auto paint shop was a PERFECT match!

Happy to say that the Great state of Ohio has decided that next July 1 we will not need a front plate so this thread will be relevant for me.

Friend just got stopped the day after buying his new very dark blue Mustang convertible. Gorgeous car. the police gal gave him a warning. Dealership wanted to give him a front plate bracket but he said "NO WAY"! Hope he can avoid the police for the next 10-11 months. (Yes Harry I think the cop was...)

Seems like a law that could go into effect immediately. Could save the cost of extra license plates a year sooner. Government does not have to, nor does it rarely make sense.

Police vehicles have license plate readers. A few months ago a local department picked up a murder suspect when a reader spotted the plate of a car traveling in the opposite direction. Reader spots every plate and checks for warrants by computer database. No officer can possibly do that while driving. Not a fan of the look, but they do serve a purpose.

I didn't know that was possible.... Florida doesn't require a front plate (yet) and I hope they never do, that in-your-face TBird front plate mount is double fugly IMO...

They even read the plates of cars parked at the curb. Can pick up stolen cars etc.

I went to Home Depot, in the fastener isle, there are drawers with plastic plugs, I think I used 5/16", around a $1.00 for two.
Used Touch-Up paint, let dry, installed, Cheap - easy and looks good.
No matter where you go, there you are!
If I'm not here, I'll be somewhere else !
