Tail light mod

I ordered these wings from Ebay The guy said they were 5" long. They were really 10" long. I cut them down a bit to fit on the tail light lens. This is a photoshopped pic. I'm trying to decide weather to leave them shiny, or paint them black. Thoughts?

For starters, that T-bird emblem is for the 83-97 models. Not sure if it makes a difference to you.

I say chrome would be the easiest to see, black would make it appear as a bat from a distance; deep gray as an alternative.

I was also thinking black makes them look like a bat. Silver/chrome would look better. How are you securing them to the lens? I ask because I have some emblems I want to fit to my tail lights . I thought of drilling into the lights then super gluing them because the emblems have pins on the back. I am nervous to fracture the tail light so drilling is not my first choice.. I may need to file the pins down and then use 3M adhesive tape. Still have not made up my mind.Was wondering what your plan was.

Price replacement tail lights and that may make your decision easier ;-) IMHO, tape would be the best choice for being reversible. Whatever you do, I look forward to seeing the results, good luck!
