I like it!! I have an extra T-Bird cover I picked up a few years back and will be doing something to it. I did speak with my painter about painting the Black Plate (just the Black color to something different) but he said it would get very expensive because of the taping involved to protect the V-8 & T-Bird emblems. I did do a Jag cover that came out beautiful. But there is risk in experimentation. I found the Covers top forward edge hits the the bottom of the hood. Just slightly, but enough to cause some minor damage to the cover and hood insulation. Since I am so anal about things I have started a Version 2.0. In this one I had to do a relief cut in the plastie heat it bend it down and weld it in place, A 'little" Bondu and "a lot of sanding" and now at a work stoppage do to Hip Replacement Surgery this past Monday (and a mean-ol-woman) won't let me get back in my shop for a few more weeks. LOL!!

Hey Tom! I've talked with you about these covers on the FB tbird page. I use an alias, Robert Thompson, on FB as I dont trust FB!

Yes, the paint I used is Krylon Satin Nickle in a spray can. This is the 3rd engine cover I've done and had zero issues with heat. Very close to the hard top color on the PCR.
