hardtop protection strip and thunderbird fender script

I use this product from 3M for the protection strip...cut it to size (I still have the original strips with car from Ford - I use them as template to cut the 3M product). It protects the sail panel perfectly.

That's a great idea, using the original strips as templates. I'll dig mine out to scan and put them here for others' use.

I used the stuff that people use to plasticwrap cars I chose black(probably should have used flat black) aligned it with the window weather strip on the left door around the back to the right door. seems to work and looks ok with top off and of course covered up when top is on

to be honest I wish I could!! that was a few years back and had it done by a detail/tint/autowrap guy I guess it was rain here in the northwest,yep is sometimes sees rain. or its a bit of dust either way it was not permanent

The problem is, the four strips are VERY LONG and curved. 'Not sure how best to get templates to those who might be interested.

Using the 4-inch-wide 3M tape works well for the template, Jerri - I've done it for years.
