Funny story Larry. That "noise" he talks about is music to my ears!

If you are not up to doing the intallation yourself, take your car to your Ford dealer. They can do it in 20/30 minutes, and they charged me $60 for labor.

The Ford dealer I usually go to said they wouldn't install the Borlas for me. Is this isolated & should I try another Ford dealer? Due to work demands with long hours and the fear of using a muffler shop (which I've had a bad experience with before) - I still haven't gotten my Borlas installed. I would feel much more comfortable using a dealer.

Did anyone else use a dealer? On the other hand - what muffler chain would you all recommend? I need to get these on once the car is out of winter lockdown. I want that rumble you all talk about!

I used an independent father and son muffler shop. They let you watch and snoop around. As long as you have a clear understanding of the charge (or the hourly rate) I don't know what bad could come of it. Don't let them destroy your original mufflers and don't let them "modify" your new Borla's and the worst that might happen is that you drive off with your mufflers (or Borla's) sticking out your window and angry.

Thanks for the spot there Bruce. But in all fairness to all those who have paid for and installed the Borlas, perhaps you should remove the #31 and just put "wannabe" beside my name. Save number 31 for a true Borla guy/babe.

I don't belong in such an elite group ... yet.

Ok, we are at the end of our beloved Thunderbird production, lets see how many Borla Guys/Gals we now have in our Borla Club membership. It doesn't matter who you bought your Borla's from or what you paid for them. All I'm interested in is how many Borla Club members we now have.
If you purchased Borla's for your car, you are a member of our TBN Borla Club. Lets see the names of all our members.

Very satisfied with the sound of my Borlas, I love that "loud purr" everytime I step on the gas!


P.S. Any thoughts/interest on purchasing light weight jackets or shirts with "BORLA BABE" or 'BORLA GUY'' printed on the front pocket are welcome here. I would be willing to take on that project if enough Borla members are interested.

hello Julie my name is Richard and I have a 2003 Red with black on black interior. I too am Very satisfied with the sound of my Borlas, but also I love the extra performance that they provide when coupled with a cold air intake. These two options should have been standard on the Tbird in my opinion! My guess is that when you add them both to our Birds we are likely getting around 300 or more hp instead of the stock 280. Does anyone know for certain? Regarding the jackets or shirts, I would be interested in a Thunderbird jacket but probably not a Borla jacket. The reason is very simple, women relate to the Bird EXTREMELY well, but when I mention the Borlas they like the way they look but are NOT particularly impresssed otherwise and say something like " it must be a guy thing".
