I think it looks ok ...The oval shape of the light reminds me of the Ford oval emblem making them "appear" as if they were original, like you sometimes see here (in America) on some imported cars...

I thought the same thing. It's not bad at all, Frits, and at least you are now legal.

I guess every car out there has that set of lights, but not every set of lights has that car attached to it. That my friend is a lucky set of lights.
You are the only one of us that puts extra lights on your car for the holidays, good work!!
If the new side light is flat and the V8 is small enough, (it looks like it is)I would put the V8 on the new lens. Now you have balance and a framed V8
Frits, it doesn't look bad at all. Kind of like one of those things that if you hadn't mentioned no one would notice. At least you are street legal. My bird came from out of state and I had to have a front license plate bracket mounted. Required in NJ. Looks better without it, but now that it's done it doesn't look so bad. Hope you have same experience. A petty annoyance that lessens with time.
I too think it is off balance, but everything you add to a Bird makes it off balance. It's just a matter of getting used to it.
When I was in the dealership I went through all possible positions and all were kind a not it. This one seemed the most acceptable. I think mainly because most cars in NL have these kind of lights positioned at this same spot (if they are not in the mirror).
Most important is that my car is legal now and I won't get in d..p s..t if I might happen to run over some one. Besides that you also have to consider the importance for the person driving next to me. At least now they can see whenever I make a left or right turn and act on that.
