It's a yearly rally I attend Douglas. If you check my gallery you will see more shots of that. We drive for a good cause and for business contacts a 2000km rally through four countries. About 40-45 cars attend. All old timers or exclusive 'new timers'. Great fun!

      Frits,

Why not just remove the V8 emblem? Your 2002 didn't come with it anyway so taking it off wouldn't take away from the originality. I think that would get rid of that "off balance" look. The light itself doesn't look bad and since you have to have it there is not much you can do about it. If you take the V8 emblems off you can see how it is without them or if you want to reposition them you can see how they look at various locations by moving them around.

Paul, I don't know why, but my car did come with the V8 emblems on. Maybe because it is a Canadian version. Otherwise the dealer in Nova Scotia must have sticked these on. I am sure it was not my NL dealer.

Anyway, I am not taking them off yet. I intend to have it like this for a couple of months and see how I feel about it.

That is interesting that yours came with the V8 emblems. I thought that you might have put them on yourself because you liked the way they looked on the later models or you wanted to let the folks in The Netherlands know you had a little power under the hood.

Interesting that your car did come with the V8 emblem Frits, because as Paul mentioned the 02's didn't have them. Very strange indeed, you are a lucky guy!

As I recall, Frits wasn't the first owner of his car. The V8 emblems most likely came from the first owner, or as, Frits suggested, the Canadian dealer installed.

Frits, doesn't look bad at all. Are they flush with the body or do they stick out? I like Barbara's idea of maybe getting a little Ford script sticker and stick them on them? Maybe not. You're going to have to change your avatar now

In fact I was the first owner Dot. CarFax report of my car showed it was delivered to the dealer in Nova Scotia. And went from there to the dealer in NL.
Mileage was not more than 1K when I bought it. It must have been the Canadian dealer putting these badges on.

They are bulbed, so slightly stick out. Can not put any badge or sticker on.

Personally, Frits, I like the positioning of the light and the V8 emblem, just the way you have them. But, I've never liked uniformity. IMO, the way it is now adds more interest to that area of your car, and perfectly aligned would look wrong to my eye. There is a straight line from the end of the saber down to the V8, and that's correct. I might consider a wings decal (DavidA's) on the light, though, if it would fit.

Karen, look at his pic in post #33, p.2. Until Frits straightened me out, I even thought he had installed chrome striping in the lower groove. As it turns out, it's just a reflection. Some gloss, huh!

LOL Marilyn, for a minute you thought you found a new MOD, didn't you?

I wish I could say that was true, Frits. I'd love to think of a new mod. But, in this case, our Bling King has already done it, which is probably why I thought you had, too.
