Re: Pictures of our 60 Bird

    First of all WELCOME Tom!!
That's a real pretty '36 Tom......I guess the dollies are under the wheels so you can slide it around to get more cars in the garage. BTW, I've got a good frtiend in NH restoring a '36 Cabriolet and a '41 Lincoln Continental convertible

Good to be part of the group! I have not had my 02 out yet this year, mostly because the gold bird has been in the way! The dollies work great, especially with a car like the 36 that does not have power steering. Gets tough to move around in the garage.

Your mention of the "rumble seat" in the '36 brought back many old childhood memories. My uncle had one in the mid forties and that's where my brother and I would always ride. You have a beautiful car.

Your 36 sure looks better than my Dad's 39 , and I was too young to drive the 57 Fairlaine 500, but still have his last toy, the 82 LeBaron.

              Hey Tom,

Your '60 T-bird is beautiful. It must have received a lot of pampering to have survived almost 50 Michigan winters and still look great. Is the top white or a light tan? And if it's tan, was that an original top color in 1960?

Awesome snaps, Tom, and an equally awesome garage!

Our car has the white top, two tone beige/brown interior. For the first five years it was our daily driver, plenty of stories of really bad winter snow storms! It has always been my Mothers favorite car!

How about a picture of the White Firebird?

I realize this isn't the correct forum to point out this preference but honestly........ those Chrome Bumpered F-Cars!!

I love the Chrome Bumper cars from '69-'73.......might just be the best combination of pretty and muscle together in one car Detroit ever produced, especially the Trans Ams.

White is even my favorite color.......if yours has Blue Graphics then it's just about PERFECT!!!... IMHO.

Merlotblue, You are right, that is one of my other babies, its a 1970 Trans Am, RamAirIII with TH400. Its white with the blue stripe and bright blue interior. It is an numbers matching car with 77k miles, lots of fun too, but my two birds are my favorites!

Great Cars, did your Trans Am come with a inflatable spare tire in the trunk or a full size? Thanks again, Rick

According to my window sticker, invoice it had a full size tire. I found a correct jack and inflatable tire a few years ago, now the trunk has a little more room!
