I got my Hood Scoop (part #) 5W6Z-16C630-AAA from
Chapman Ford Sales, Inc. Philadelphia, Pa. Part Lists for $112.53
    Your cost: $79.44 plus shipping 7.87 = Total $87.31
    Direct parts Phone line: 215-698-8018
    or www.chapmanautogroup.com
Ask for Ray Jermyn (Parts)...we know him from the Mercury Marauder Net.
He gives the best price and great customer service for any or
    all Ford/Lincoln/Mercury parts, etc.

The install....I had to remove the hood material and "pry" some to
get it off. Even with the hood material removed it's hard to
get a look at the retaining clips....then pinch the clips for removal.
Remove all the hood liner retainers...don't try to work with only the first or second row removed.....the others will pop out and could get lost in the engine compartment. I know....had to hunt them down!
......Good Luck. Hope to see you at "Birds of Prey Cruise".

Yes Ron, I am a member of the SOTC, have been for years. At last years Bayfield event there must have been a dozen or so Retro Birds. Close to 80 Birds of all years in attendence. Also a good event to keep in mind.
We already have a member from Kitchener going to Ottawa and he may be hooking up with us to form a convoy. Can send you his name 'off-site' if you wish and are thinking of going.

Anybody got a clue how much the Ford dealerships may charge to install this?

BADOS, Read a post on here a while back, that was about asking a dealer to put one on. One of the service techs put a screw driver in the scoop from outside and poped the old one off and then sliped the new one on. No charge. Leroy

I read it, thanks. "If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck." I don't want to chance denting or chipping anything.

                            Re: hood scoop trim

I just bought the hood trim from Ford. Had them install it on the spot. Charge was $20. What a deal that was. Watched them, all they did was tape off the scoop so it wouldn't chip and popped off the trip, snapped the chrome piece on. Took 10 min.
