Elle - look at the bright side, at least you knew to use the key to unlock the door. We've all heard about the kids that have never known the days when you didn't just push a button to unlock a door. Some of them have to think twice to realize you can unlock the door manually.
The next wave is not using a key at all. As long as mine is in my purse, I don't have to take it out to unlock or start the SUV. You get spoiled when you switch to one of the other cars.
There was a sun spot active yesterday but Elle's problem seemed to be really localized.
Hi Dot: Good point you make here, however, these radiating solar sun spot storms will affect only a certain band-width frequency, at different times, as opposed to all frequencies, at all times. In other words, it's not necessarily affecting a particular geographical location, but only a certain frequency band-width which is being used, and/or transmitted at different times. This is always changing, which is the way these solar firestorms works. There has been many studies done on this, and it has been more or less determined that there is no continuity that remains the same, at all times. It's a very interesting subject to 'dive into' and only the "sun ('ole sol') knows" what it is going to do at any given time.
Donn - thank you very much for the science lesson. Seriously - that may explain why, out of 4 vehicles, some worked, some didn't. It hasn't happened again, but another military plane flew very low over the house again yesterday. I do not know the type of plane - it's the one with the large round radar (weather) thing on top. They can be seen all over Tidewater at any given time - just not over our house! I ran out to see if the fobs worked - they did - so I guess this will just go down on the record as one of life's mysteries!
sigpic Goldilocks~Venomous~Moondoggie Drive like you mean it!! ~Elle~
We don't know what this is and may never know .It's like when we go into a hospital or fly ,all electronic eqipment must be off.One thing interacts with an other.I guess
Do not adjust your key fob, or your television. We control the sound, we control the horizontal, we control the vertical. (source, old Outer Limits show)
