Re: Wood Trim upgrade
Personally I thought you added the needed balance here.
A lot of folks obviously like the idea of this kit ....... but still the kit does come with negatives you must live with along with the new look you are after.
I imagine that removing any of this stuff later could be a real problem. This isn't the sort of change, like new wheels or a radio, that give you the option of storing the original pieces and bolting 'em on later without issue.
It's not hard to imagine that some folks wouldn't think of this until the day comes that they want to take it off.

. If I ever sell the car, even the best price I can hope to get from it, won't turn it into the best "investment'' I'll have made!...but at least, I'll be able to say that I had fun! Also, I don't think the wood dash will really be a determining factor in selling the car or not...
After you're confident with the fit, go ahead, remove the backing and gently stick it into place. Don't press it yet!...Check to see if the fit is ok first and if yes, then go ahead and press it permantly...If you screw up, the piece can likely be removed if you didn't "press" it permantly in place. As for re-using it, well I doubt...I remember damaging the top piece of the center stack (with the two vent openings)
while installing it and I had to reorder a new piece 'cause it got pretty torn upon removal. ...
Other than that, I have nothing but good words for my kit!
