I have a 2005 tbird, it's rated at 280HP, how come yours came up with 243hp
Willy
the 280 HP rating is what the motor is rated at the flywheel. when on an engine dyno, you'll see about 280 HP. however, when it's in the car, the motor is also turning the accessories, like A/C, alternator, etc. on top of that there's a certain amount of driveline loss. this is because it takes power to turn all the stuff in the driveline, like the driveshaft, etc. the general rule of thumb is that your rear wheel HP will be about 15% less than the flywheel rating for a manual tranny. for auto its about 20%.
Patte - I don't know if Don Fox ever had my Moondoggie dynoed after he had the Borlas installed and before I bought it from him, but I have since also added the K & N and Moondoggie dynoed out at 314hp (3 tests, all within a fractional +-314). Are you planning to put Borlas on? vrooooooommmmmmm..........!
What are all the upgrades or mods on your Thunderbird ? I would like to do the changes to my T-Bird how did you get to 314 hp

Mark, see post #8. That's all that's been done to my Cashmere. I had it dynoed simply because I wanted to know if the hp had increased. It was just a curiosity thing, and a freebie, since we had the Shelby in for testing that day, and the guys had no other cars to 'play' with.
