I love the look of the grill and would not change it. I have even given a little thought to having mine painted......But the bottom line is, "what do YOU want."

It is hard to paint the chrome grill. It is not really metal so it is hard to prep. If you really want to go monochrome, buy the cashmere grill and have it painted. Then save the stock chrome grill in the garage in case one of the chrome guys wants to buy the car when you are really old and gray. I did that so I have a VMG monochrome now, but I put the chrome hood scoop back on because I like that look.
