Will, I have Dayton Wire Wheels as do a few other bird owners, they run about 3,400.00 If you come to the Nov t-bird dinner I'll show them to you. It's a good to get ideas about what you would like to to your car when you get it and this is the place to look around.
Gord -- in the first link provided above -- the photo of the Desert Sky Blue T-bird with the Chip Foose Chrome 5 spoke wheels that Dot has posted there?
I have those wheels (and - that is the color of my bird. Hmmmmm...I wonder if that WAS my bird before I had it????!!!) AND 'had' those Sumitomo tires.
Anyway -- it looks really sharp on the car. While I have not had to clean them yet -- as my car is about to get itself to a body shop for some work and a full detail -- they do not look like they will be too hard to maintain.

Generally chrome wheels of an open design are more easily maintained than the painted wheels that came on the car. In 2002 in Canada Ford would not sell you anything but a painted wheel which has many nooks and crannies in them. With the break dust getting into all those little places they are a devil to keep clean.
Now there are products out to spray the wheels that repels the dust but, they still take alot of time to clean vs a 5 spoked wheel like the Mustang Bullit style is open and will take far less time especially with the new spray on products.
I have had ceramic brake pads put on my car which help a little. but still these painted wheels are a PITA to maintain even after a short drive of say 20 minutes you have to clean them all over again. I hate seeing nice cars running around with dirty black wheels that should be bright....yes I guess I am a faniatical fuss pot!
Still it is just an idea at this point.....no decisions yet!
Hey there.... Myj 2 cents worth. Tomorrow, Friday the 30th of October, I am pulling the trigger and ordering the Wire Wheels for my Bird from Motorspot. They are costly but the closest thing to Kelsey Hayes that I have found. My dilema is to install Whitewall's versus blackwalls.

Heck if you're going that far go with the wide whites! It's only money!
Do you have the black headrests with blue seats???
Nope! Didn't notice the blue seats. Is that leather -- or some seat covers?? But dang! That looks like my car and the previous owner lived near the beach.
I might consider this but for now, the car is in storage for the winter so maybe in spring.
That is great restraint. I am not impulsive in anyway -- but when I do get something in my head -- I need to follow it to completion. I would never be able to look for wheels now -- and have the car garaged while doing it -- and then not buy the wheels!
