Re: While at Dearborn and Coming Home.

Here is something to think about. When the installer was putting in the new windshield he handed me a sticker. I didn't look at it and just laid it aside. Just looked at it this morning. I have a pic of what is stamped on the windshield and a pic of the sticker that came off the windshield when he took it off his truck.

....Well, my thought is, Carlite is the supplier of glass to Ford (see your side and back glass) and on other Ford products...however, for whatever reason, Carlite contracted out for the windshields for these cars and PPG was chosen....Maybe Carlite didn't want to get involved in the manufacture of low production windshield...Another glass manufacturer who specializes in low production glass is Pilkington's.....

A side from a broken windshield is the smell for days after of the sealent they use .In S.Fl. with the hot sun it lingered for days.

Just checked mine, it has PPG stamped in along with the Wings and Ford Motor Company. Same as yours.

I should have but didn't take pics of the old one that was labeled Carlite and not PPG at the same spot.

Misty is going into the body shop on 7/21 to get her rear end fixed. She'll be there for two days for this plastic surgery. I'll report back when finished.

I've heard that after plastic surgery you're not supposed to drink. So will this mean a savings on gas costs??

Sorry to hear about this Spence ... Especially the windshield. I hope you can get a OEM "Wings" replacement without a bunch of hassle.

Joe windshield is replaced and OEM, just cost $260.00 + extra to get it.

Just dropped Misty off at the plastic surgeon this morning to get her cracked rear bumper taken care of and her tail light replaced. I'll report back when finished to let you know how the operation went.

Re: While at Dearborn and Coming Home.

Got a call from the dealers body shop. They said Misty wouldn't be ready today as promised. They got a bubble in the paint and had to redo it. I told him, it's not a problem, I'm in no hurry, just make sure it is right.

Misty is back home and in the Nest. Looks like new. Happy with the way it all turned out. We are now ready for Gettysburg.
