Looks good, Mark. When did you get the white softtop installed? i missed that announcement!

Dot, I had the white soft top installed early in the Spring. Showed some pics in a BlingBird Mod thread. I had tried pinstriping the TBird before, but didn't like the look, but thanks to Ron's thread, that changed everything (thanks again Ron - and for your comments).

Nice stripes and has me wondering about mine. The color on the PCR's doesn't contrast much and is about an inch or so higher. I am sure they are factory. Did Ford stripe different years differently?

-no pin stripes, any year.
-no chrome hood scoop bezel unless you're buying an NM or a Cashmere special edition.
-No paint in the logos on the hub caps (that was my first mod on my 02).
-v8 emblems only on the 03s and 04s - and those are plain jane too, just a V and an 8 side by side about an inch tall. (another mod on my 02)
-Only the NM has a logo in the porthole windows. Any others are custom touches.
There are lots of small ways to personalize your car and still be able to bring it back to stock if necessary.

-oh, yes, and no Borlas, and no K&N filter
-no painted calipers

That only touches the surface of the mods you'll find on these Thunderbirds now.

How about two thin gold stripes on the T-bird blue?

As for the hood emblem, When they replaced my front bumper from an accident. I asked for the emblem to be new. They gave me the old one and it has three nibs which would go into three holes, plus stickey tape. The nibs are on each end and one in the middle.

Thanks for that description. Never had one in hand, just assumed since some of the other trim on the car is glued on/sticky taped. That will make it more difficult to get off with but it would also keep it positioned correctly on the car. I did just check our car to see how it looks from the back but it's hidden by other metal nose parts.

I BELIEVE THE TRUNK EMBLEM HAS THE SAME ALIGNMENT TABS. HOWEVER, THE QUARTER PANEL THUNDERBIRD SCRIPTS DO NOT. I HAD TO REPLACE THE TWO ON THE NM. SOMEHOW, THEY WERE ON THE FRONT FENDER, LIKE THE 57'S.

Ron: Do you think it came from the factory with the scripts on the front fenders ? If so, was it a mistake or done on purpose ? Is yours a very early production of the NM Birds ?

Just replaced my one line gold pinstripe with this black double pinstripe. Original was painted on, this is tape. Didn't have to remove original.had it put right over it and you can't see it or feel it. The guy did a great job and it only took him 15 min.

I have a red and black strip down both sides, and a red and black stripe on each side of the hood scoop.

After second thoughts, I think I agree with the silver and charcoal on the tb.b. On the color chart I have, It looks to make a suttle statement.
