    mirror surface contact paper cut into 4" squares and applied to bumper with overlaps would follow the contour. From 15' back a camera would blend the chrome and it would look like one solid chromed object. I have used this technique in designing stage and movie scenery many times.

            He did get them chromed. You can see it on Page 3 of his gallery. They can be seen in the photo showing the chromed windshield wipers.
