Is there such a thing as too many beer breaks?? ... however a correction is warranted, it would take at least 10 minutes to install, since a beer break would be appropriate during installation!

Relax, Joe. It will be OK and you will have made a young lady very happy. She'll never forget that day.

I've slid the passenger seat all the way forward, tipped it towards the dash, and had them sit on the shelf instead. Plenty of room and less worries. That way I could also use the leather cover for a cleaner look.

Joe , that would be me with something stronger than Excedrin.

Re: Parade Use With Top Down & Passenger?

All went well Friday Night ...
            .
I drove the Raven during the rehearsal and then left her in good hands with Berkley's uncle, Todd, who owns a SPOTLESS 09 Challenger and 08 Charger: Both Hemis. Todd took over when he arrived from work. I had no worries that he would be the “Look, Don’t Touch” Drill Sergeant considering the condition of his vehicles so I had no hesitation about her care leaving the keys with another car nut even if he is a MOPAR guy.
            .
The colors were even a perfect match as Sanderson HS colors are red & black.
            .
Berkley did not win Homecoming Queen but her Mom said she was tickled to death that her parade car was getting all the attention and "the oohs and ahhs". I thought this was for my ego but Todd confirmed that it was the car that got all the attention. Todd said the Corvette owner was smug and a little rude but Todd told him he was comparing apples to oranges: The Vette is a sports car and the Bird is personal car/cruiser with some punch if needed - That it was like comparing his Challenger to the T-Bird. Todd said he thought that was more about nobody was paying much attention to his Vette: All the curiosity was about the Raven.
            .
The other cars were a silver Honda S200, a 05 V6 white Ford Mustang, a silver mid 2008 silver Corvette, a black Mercedes Benz SL, a Volkswagen Beetle, a mid 80s white Porsche Carrera Targa (I felt bad for the young lady who had to ride in it because she had to stand up – She looked ridiculous).
            .
She was tucked away back in the garage by 11 p.m. safe and sound.
            .
            Here are some pictures …

              Joe,

Glad to know the Tbird made it safe and sound and that it had been in good hands with a "car nut". It was in good company with a bunch of nice cars.

I told you so, Joe. Glad all went well. Berkley and the car were both beautiful.

I would have to completely agree with that comment.

Great to hear this worked, and shelf is strong enough.
Don't like to interrupt beer drinking with projects if they are not neccessary.
