IMHO, one word - YUK! It looks like a cross between a Vet and a Camaro. This wdesign will never reach the market. Ford keep trying!

Can't be a new Bird, it doesn't have a back seat. That's if they ever make it again.

I agree it's definately not a bird. I am not sure you can design a "todays' car that would be a t bird. The retro may be as close as possible and keep the thunderbird feel, which is why it has aged well and become a success late in life. There is something inheritantly odd about new old. Maybe olde Yogi would undertand. He knows his oxy-morons

Think about------------ A car that is an instant hit is definately not a T-Bird. Never has been

              Spence,

This is the one sure thing. I'm not sure there will be another American made two-seater other than the Corvette in my lifetime - unless it is some tiny green city commuter type of car. I guess there could be a new Viper, but that may be built in Canada.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't there been a couple of threads showing this same picture?

I like the idea of the retractable hard top, but it is missing a key component - porthole windows.

One reason I bought my TBird after owning Corvettes was the trunk and a full size spare tire. I don't like anything about this new design. No trunk, probably no spare tire, not my idea of a personal luxury car. Maybe a 4 seater TBird in the future would be a better seller? If they could design a folding hard top that doesn't take up so much room so you could still have a trunk, that would be nice. Leroy
