Nice job on the top so far, Mary. Will look forward to seeing it when it's all finished.
    You're a lucky man, John.

Here is the quilt that Elle made for a TBN auction and I snapped it up. It's a beautiful addition to my office wall.

I sent the picture to Mary so she could see it. It is beautiful Vickie and Elle.

Love the two quilts. Very striking colors. They do well in quilts and on the cars..

It is done, has been for a week or so. Also got a new toy to add to the diecast collection. The backing is actually a US map with the interstate system, it is hard to see the detail but this is my best shot.

Here is more, with my new toy - a retrobird diecast with working lights! How cool is that?

Like the choice of backing for the quilt. Has she labeled it yet?

Who converted the model for you?

                  Re: Thunderbird Quilt

John - the backing is very similar to the fabric I used for mine - just a different color!

                  Great quilt, Mary!

No label Dot, she does not do that for the ones she makes for family. The ones that go to soldiers get labeled by Quilts With Love after she sends them.

The model came from Diecast Customs off an eBay tip from Skip.

                      Re: Thunderbird Quilt

She needs to label it for the family. If the quilt gets passed down to other future family members, people tend to forget who made it. All it takes is 50 years, a couple of generations, and that info is likely to be lost.

That is so true, I have a quilt my mom made for me and the label says "Made by Mom with love." It means the world to me.
