Re: 2002 Part Needed
You may be suprised but there are a lot of OEM parts available thru eBay sellers who seem to specialize in older OEM parts. I suspect they get them from closed dealerships or buy "slow moving stock" from regular dealerships. I have also seen these sources selling items that have been superceeded by a newer part number.Originally posted by BumbleBee View PostThank you for the replies - did not think to check e bay but see the part - thank you Paul.
Problem not solved yet but we are on our way.
Not sure of their sources but I have found several OEM items via eBay that the dealers cannot get thru their normal channels. I also supect that the dealers cannot (or will not) use these sources for a part that they must install and provide any type of warrentee for.Never grow up. Enjoy life while you can

Paul:
I believe, with the downsizing, (elimination of Mercury) Ford is consolidating Ford and Lincoln dealerships in some parts of the country. So that could be how many parts end up through other distributors. Just a thought.

Here is a link to a site that will build custom hydraulic hoses:

Don't know anything about them but I venture to say it will be cheaper than the Ford replacement when it is available in NOVEMBER!
