Save yourself that overwhelming chore by removing your shoes and donning your Thunderbird slippers.

Show us a picture of your work! I've been secretly thinking, if I get my tires rotated, maybe the Ford service dept. would let me step in and clean the wheels at that time, or perhaps they'd clean 'em for a fee?!

I wish I could take a picture, but that would require that I take the tire off again.

At least now, when you look at the wheel, you can see the silver behind the 16 spokes.

        thanks

CV, I don't consider that strange at all. I do that to mine twice a year. I agree that it looks better seeing the silver behind the spokes. Plus, I think it helps keep the front cleaner since there isn't a layer of dirt and brake dust to ooze between the spokes when they get wet.

Since I doubt I could get my husband to put on slippers to ride in the car, I solved the clean carpet issue by purchasing laser cut mats in clear for the floorboards and also the trunk. I think everything cost me about $145. The mats look like those heavy mud mats you buy for bad weather, but not quite as bulky. So far they have saved my light colored carpet from a stray dr pepper bottle that tried to leak, and any tracking from last winter's record rainfall. The original mats are put away in the garage for now.
