That concept PRC is seemless a very nice job. Wish that had carried over to production.

That was to help distract attention from the chrome taillight bezels poor fit.

The economy even affects Thunderbird auction results, apparently.

Re: News: The Thunderbird Sport Roadster Concept is

Well, just like the SC concept car, I didn't bother with the idea of bidding because I thought it would fetch $500,000 (out of my league) from some sort of collector museum. I think I would have paid the 63M for that one. Though I don't know about the feasabilility of what it would have taken to make it working and legal, and believe me, where there's a will, there'a a way!

          Yesterday at Mecum Monterey Auction.

          Sold: 1960 Chrysler 300 F $205,000
          1999 Callaway Corvette $90,000
          1935 Caddy Conv. $100,000
          1953 Caddy Eldorado $223,000
          1970 Plymouth Superbird $160,000
          1957 Porsche Speedster $160,000

You got the car, they got the money.

Who knows thirty or forty years from now that T-Bird may bring the
big bucks can't see it right now.

Don't be too hard on yourself, Dot. Remember the immutable laws of the universe that would have made the auction car go for more than its estimate if you had waited.

The only part missing for this car is the driver!

Obviously you haven't attended many classic car auctions this year and talked to the bidders and would-be sellers.

Ah, but I have -- at least Pebble Beach Concours for the past 20 years. And you should see what drives around the Bay Area as daily commute cars!
Besides, as a previous post observed:

Don't know who your talking to must be some poor folk. The following are
the prices for the top ten at Mecum Monterey Auction this weekend.

                      $2,000,000-$585,000-$350,000-$335,000-$325.000-$300,000-$285,000
                      $280,000-$270,000 and last but not least $250,000 for a 1957 T-Bird.

The following are bids that didn't make the reserve price.

                      $1,850,000-$1,700,000-$825,000-$600,000-$325,000-$275,000-$270,000
