today on my MSN home page there is an artical about "THE 10 most OVER-HYPED cars" guess whats on it ...give ya three and the first two dont count. i would attache it but im a computer idiot ... sorry msnauto.com
Please forgive me if I offend anyone, but WHO CARES? These articles, when they show up, have never influenced me in the past and I doubt seriously they will in the future. When I spend money on ANYTHING, the only opinion that matters is mine. It's MY money and MY car. Can we PLEASE move beyond this?
Theese things however do effect the market to some extent. Not most of us, but there aren't enough true " car guys " left to controll the price. Most sales are by dealers making money to people easily enfluenced by hype. I too don't car what mine is worth but in todays economy it's nice to see something holding it's value and theese may now be.

The article for the most part is correct, but really nothing to get upset
about. Of the ten cars listed I wouldn't mind owning five of them. If your
happy with whatever car you drive that's all that counts.
the artical did not knock the tbird ... it just said it was over hyped ... i agree with that statment .... adding a $10k premium in 02 did not help ...

Amen, you are so right on, I could care less what anyone else says about the T-Bird!

Agreed!

As someone who worked for the General for almost 30 years I have got to say that the '84 Corvette was the most over-hyped (and worst I ever owned) car imaginable.
Had a Cimarron that came with a Cavalier emblem on the back. Man how I had to fight to keep Caddy dealer from changing.
'71 Vega was a little workhorse but the steel was so bad that you could see the ground looking through the top of the fenders in only one winter season.
Any list that doesn't list the Cadillac Allante as over-hyped can't be correct. Loved those PIA cars.
The T-Bird has all needed buttons. trunk release at your fingertips, 6 cd player, heated seats, one touch top, auto steering wheel adjustment, select shift.
IMHO it is the one car that can fill both the week-end summer toy role and daily driver role equally well.
What do journalists know about cars anyway?

Anyone remember the Chrysler Maserati TC? (Or, for that matter the Crossfire?) These lists are like - well I won't say. But everyone has one and everyone thinks that every other one, but his, stinks.
