Congrats to Ron & Liz. From the Facebook posts, it looked like this time was especially enjoyable, not just a 'touch & go'. I need 3 stated for my second time ... Washington, Oregon and Idaho. I doubt we'll see those states again.

Well as previously mention, Liz and I completed the 48 states adventure in the Inca Gold yesterday and are now back safe in Elizabethton. I did change five cops and plugs in Williams, AZ but who is counting. Thanks again to the great TBN friends who showed up in Hugo, OK to share the last two states with us. I can tell you that Gary Himes was on my mind during the entire trip. Gary was so supportive of me and Liz on getting the 48 states in the Inca Gold. The last time we talked he wanted to know a planned day so he could be there. This one is in memory of Gary.

Re: TBN "Celebrate Forty-Eight" Club
I had forgotten about this thread, but glad Paul moved it to the top. Liz and I finished our forty-eight states in the Dusk Rose in one year and 356 days adding almost 34,000 miles while seeing the USA. A lot of those states were with Thunderbird friends and in some states we got to visit with Thunderbird friends along the way. The best part was Liz and I were together enjoying each others company, enjoying riding in a great Thunderbird, and seeing our beautiful country. We are looking forward to adding a few more states this year to several Thunderbirds and then next year we hope to complete forty-eight states on the Inca Gold. We are looking forward to a Wisconsin event next year and maybe Roger will throw in a wonderful event in New Orleans. Who knows, we may find a Red Thunderbird along the way.
We are sure looking forward to celebrating with Roger and Sharon when they reach South Carolina.

Re: TBN "Celebrate Forty-Eight" Club
On October 4th the DC Thunder and Beyond group will detour into South Carolina for a short distance to celebrate Roger and Sharon Quern (RQTBIRD) joining the "Celebrate Forty-Eight" Club. To accomplish this, Roger and Sharon are visiting New England prior to joining up with the group in DC.
All but one of the current club members plan to be there to cheer them on. Last year we had two new cars join the group and this year we will as well - whose going to join the club next year? Make it a goal and have fun with it - we certainly have.
