Rain predicted for late tonight. We need it bad. Clouds are hiding the moon.

I count myself fortunate that Rosetta and I have the health, time and means to travel on TBN trips and events. I never take it for granted because any of these can go away at any time. So, as long as we can, I will, because there are a lot of amazing things to see in this country. I'd hate to miss one of them because I have preconceived notions about a location, a dirt road or saving miles on the car.

You've made your position on this clear many times. If you somehow think that my difference of opinion is somehow putting you down, I'm sorry, because that was/is never my intention.
Rick, your response sounds like sulking, the best thing you could have said was nothing. That way we would have known it did not matter to you.

I have been fortunate to have been in all 50 states.......unfortunately only 21 in the Bluebird

As for the states, dusty roads and miles. I have had a BLAST!! I have already been in more states and Canadian provinces in the last 3 years than I have my entire life, and it was in "A" Thunderbird. If you didn't have an odometer on the car to see your total mileage, would it matter. And as for the dusty gravel roads, of course no one "likes" to drive on them, however, we would not have missed this experience of being at the Northwest Angle Inlet, Minnesota, the Northernmost point of the lower 48 states, and the thunderbird is probably cleaner than before we started, it washed up very nicely.
Thanks Paul and TBN friends for all the travels and experiences.
Everyone has their own opinion.. this is mine

lol! oops = 47 would be the correct number so far! so will have to do the 48th. 49th is also a possibility though as there is a overland route... and it has been done with a 57 in the recent past by another Texan.

Gave me a goal with that comment. Next year is our 50th. Might have to drive the 57 up to Rhode Island so it can have it's 50th err make that 48th state at the same time.

Alas, probably won't happen next year as our 57 trip is planned for San Diego next year.
