Tbear's car was built on a Wednesday, 5/25/2005. there were at least 1,368 cars built after his.

Did you buy your car new? Or did someone switch the steering wheel and shift knob before you bought it?

Yours was the only Inca built on 5/25 and there were exactly 50 Incas built after yours.

Here's what it says for my 007. South Beach Edition? Hadn't heard that before. States logo floor mats, delivered with plain black.

Interesting - I noticed mine shows "Job No.1 To Mid Year Program Ctl" where Sierra's says "Mid Year Change Program Control". Both are '04s but mine was built more than 7 months earlier. Anyone know what this means?

Harry and Ron can probably explain this better than I can, but from what I know - Job No. 1 is how the cars begin on day one of production. Usually, around the first of the calendar year they switch to Job #2 or "Mid Year Change Program". Sometimes there are slight changes in the production - options get added or moved to standard equipment, but most of the time there is a price increase (could be on the base car, the options or both) even if nothing major changes. Occasionally, on some models there is a decontenting of the car - meaning something is not available that had been on previous models. This is done to keep the price from going up.

Newman, did you buy your car new? The factory build sheet specifies that your car DOES have the wooden shift knob and steering wheel.

I bought my car in 2013. It has "Partial White" interior with black/white leather seats, white plastic shift knob and black/white steering wheel.

Some Thunderbird owners say the leather seats in my car have been upgraded to better leather. I honestly don't know. The previous owner is a West Texas oilman so anything is possible. The car had 89,000 miles when I bought it but the entire car is pristine. Even the undercarriage and engine compartment are spotless. At Keller's last week one of the guys remarked how even the shiny foil heat shields at the rear of the engine compartment are new looking.

Makes sense - noticed the '02s and '03s don't have this line item.
